Understanding the Subprime Mortgage Crisis

This post over at Get Rich Slowly has excerpts from Chicago Public Radio's This American Life. That last excerpted paragraph does an excellent job of explaining the subprime mortgage crisis. It took me a while to really understand the what, why, and how of the current economic situation. I wish I had read this a few months ago!
